Wellness is more than eating vegetables, exercising, and limiting refined sugar. Yes, it can include these things - but it’s also enjoying take-out while binging your fave TV show and feeling no guilt about it. It’s feeling empowered by the realization of what your body and mind truly are capable of after a tough workout. It’s cooking a meal at home and feeling proud of what you have created. It is getting a good night sleep and feeling refreshed in the morning. Because there are so many elements to truly feeling well, I know it can be overwhelming. I know, because I have been there!
I often struggled with the idea of perfection and approached health and wellness as all or nothing. If I missed a workout or had a few extra snacks - I felt so discouraged and thought that I might as well give up. Who else has been there?
When I started taking control of my health and well-being, I found that the little steps I consistently took made the biggest differences in my day to day life. This shift in mindset set off a domino effect and spilled into every aspect of the way I live. I truly believe that being 1% better everyday is no small feat, and the most sustainable way to reaching your wellness goals.
The name of my health coaching practice is New Leaf Health Coaching, inspired by nature and the ebbs and flows of life. My approach to health and wellness is holistic, whole, and balanced. I let my clients lead the way and act more as a guide than anything else. My clients will discover how to create long-lasting habits, sustainable lifestyle upgrades, and more. I specialize in helping people learn to fall in love with cooking at home and whole food nutrition, but am also well-versed in the world of exercise, sleep hygiene, self-care, meditation, and more.
