Michelle was able to help me reach my goals by giving me simple changes that I can incorporate into my life and developing a system of accountability. The most impactful change I've noticed about myself since starting sessions with Michelle is better sleeping. The changes I have made, with her help, created a chain reaction in my overall health and I can definitely see those changes when it comes to better, more restful sleep.
Michelle is above and beyond helpful as a health coach, going as far as creating menus and shopping lists in order to make my diet easier. I just wanted to share my experience doing health coaching with Michelle. Michelle has just been a light when it comes to my health journey – I have been going through a lot of different changes when it comes to my body and optimizing what’s going on and Michelle as a health coach has been nothing but encouraging, helpful, and really goes above and beyond to make sure that she is helping you achieve your goals, and being the most motivating person she can.
The big thing for me is I had a specific diet plan that was given to me by a functional medicine doctor and I asked Michelle for help trying to figure out how to make it into meals and she went above and beyond and gave me grocery list, full meal plan, and how to eat it and prepare it, and how to make it quick because, for me, time is a big thing.
Michelle is just amazing to work with, she loves what she does, she’s very knowledgeable, and she strives to always help you feel good about yourself through every phase of your health and inspire you to reach your goals. I could not recommend her enough as a health coach – she really cares about the people she works with and really wants you to succeed and to reach tour goals. If you’re looking for a health coach, look no further because Michelle is honestly the best.

My experience with Michelle is going very well and I highly recommend her services to anyone who like me, just needed to focus on one specific area of need- basic strength development in my back and arms. As an older person, I needed to improve my muscle strength and Michelle listened to my description of what I was experiencing and developed a customized, targeted workout routine that I currently do 3 times a week. She has further customized my workout when I asked for more reps and a slightly higher intensity level. After performing the routine for many weeks now I can really feel the improvement!
As for working with Michelle, she is a very positive, encouraging, and knowledgeable coach and such a pleasure to work with. She is accessible, a good listener and very responsive. If you need targeting coaching like I did then you will be very happy with Michelle and her program!

Michelle was amazing at, first of all, helping me CREATE goals for myself. I didn’t have any specifics in mind at the start of our journey, but through our conversations she helped me to identify what was most important to me, how I imagined getting there and kept me on track every meeting by setting action items, taking detailed notes and making sure I followed through in our check ins.
The biggest change I noticed is my new ability to be creative with my cooking. One of my biggest issues was feeling bored with what I was eating and unsure how to snack/cook/prep in a healthy way. My meetings with Michelle focused on identifying new ways to approach all of these things and has carried over into my day-to-day routine.
Michelle is extremely prepared and detail oriented. She asked insightful questions, paid close attention to the answers and dove deeper where it applied. She is extremely encouraging, supportive and made the entire experience a positive one.
The top three challenges she helped me overcome were: Setting clear goals, getting creative in the kitchen, and holding myself accountable with deadlines and check ins.
Michelle has a really unique ability to pivot when something isn’t working, so instead of getting down on myself about something I missed or haven’t tried or didn’t like she was amazing at coming up with alternative options or paths. She made trying new meals really easy and enjoyable by not only finding and sending me new recipes but also by keeping them simple and quick. She made it feel like such an easy lift to make these changes because she helped me set super reasonable and easy to attain goals that made me want to continue working towards something.

This summer I reached out to Michelle at New Leaf Health Coaching to help me help my sister, a lacto-ovo vegetarian, after she underwent knee replacement surgery.
Coaching a family member rather than the person in need of her expertise was a first for Michelle, but I thank God that she was willing to help.
My sister healed well from the knee replacement but the pain meds and antibiotics she was on post-surgery did a number on her. Her digestive system was so out of whack that food made her nauseous and when she forced herself to eat a little something, she was so gaseous she thought she would explode. She had lost 25 pounds in 50 days because she simply could not eat. Her doctor told her that she needed protein. I met with Michelle to discuss my sister’s needs, and gave her a list of healthy foods that she liked pre-surgery. Michelle created a wellness plan for my sister, included recommendations on supplements, explained how each food item she recommended was beneficial, gave me several recipes and even some breathing exercises for her to try. My sister visited me for 3 weeks in August. The first 14 days, she had zero interest in reading the plan but I used Michelle’s recommendations for smoothies, general meal prep and healthy snacks. It took time for my sister’s digestive health to improve. Michelle offered encouragement to me along the way because improvement was a slow process. If a certain food wasn’t working, Michelle suggested options. At the beginning of week 3 of my sister's visit, I left Michelle’s plan on the table and was happy to come into the room to see her reading it. The last week of her visit, my sister started to enjoy eating again and slept through the night undisturbed. During her 3 week stay, she maintained her weight, had more energy, needed fewer naps and seemed to be herself again. When my sister returned home, she took the wellness plan to her primary care provider at her followup visit. Her PCP was thrilled to see that during her 3 weeks away, my sister MAINTAINED her weight and her vitals were good. My sister showed Michelle’s plan to her PCP. She was impressed. Having her buy-in reinforced my sister’s resolve to continue to eat well to feel well.
